Acer Ferrari 1100

Acer Ferrari 1100
-March 23, 2008-
What great from Acer Ferrari laptops is its logo design. Many people believe Ferrari is a cool brand so that’s why Acer Ferrari 5000 was a huge success on the market. Now Acer has just released a brand new Ferrari 1100 which is smaller than its predecessors. Despite it’s smaller, Ferrari 1100 is still as thick as Ferrari 5000 and it’s still weigh 4.4 lbs.

Without any built-in optical drive, actually Ferrari 1100 is not on our recommended list. Don’t forget that most new laptops usually use LED backlit for their monitors but not Ferrarri 1100. I still don’t get it how could Acer doesn’t want us to save our power energy by not using LED backlit for Ferrari monitors.

However, Ferrari 1100 also has some positive points. With integrated optical drive, slot-loading DVD burner, and 5 usual ports (three USB, one FireWire, and one S-Video), I think Ferrari 1100 is still a good choice. Despite Ferrari 1100 uses Mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-66, but this laptop can be considered as an environmental friendly machine as it successfully passed Energy Star 4.0 certification.
