Asus Eee PC 900

-May 21, 2008-
Before the campaign of Asus Eee PC 4G, most ultra mobile laptops were not successful. Asus definitely the leader in this business. Their Eee PC 4G was a huge success and now it is followed by the new Asus Eee PC 900. It's more expensive ($550) but Eee PC 900 has bigger monitor than Eee PC 4G (8.9") and its storage capacity is up to 20 GB.
Even though the monitor size is 1.9" bigger than Eee PC 4G but this laptop still weighes 2.2 pounds (only 0.2 pounds heavier). If you still want to buy Asus Eee PC 4G , I really suggest you to "convert" your choice to the new Eee PC 900. Its specification is better, the screen size is bigger, the hard disk capacity is definitely larger, and it's only $550. What are you waiting for?
About ports, Asus Eee PC 900 is not a bad laptop. It comes with 3 USB ports, modem, ethernet port, and WiFi. Although it doesn't have a FireWire port but obviously these are more than enough for a laptop with price less than $600. The keyboard is not a problem either but sadly Asus still have some problems with its touchpad and mouse buttons. I didn't enjoy them. My bottomline: Asus Eee PC 900 is better than PC 4G but it's more expensive and the mouse buttons are not good enough (that was my experience)
