HP Pavilion tx2000z

-December 24, 2007-
This is the newest product from HP Pavilion industry (when I write this review). If you ever bought HP Pavilion tx1000, then you might get disappointed by its features. HP knows tx series have potential to become famous so they created tx2000z in order to achieve their objective. With only $1,299, HP Pavilion tx2000z is cheap even though it's still fresh from oven.
tx2000z also introduces Wacom and touch-screen feature. This laptop seems nice but people often talk about its processor. HP Pavilion tx2000z do not use Intel Core 2 Duo. Instead, they pick AMD Turion. Well, Intel Core 2 Duo is much more popular than AMD Turion so it's quite understandable why people criticize HP's policy to use AMD Turion for this product.
About the positive parts, tx2000z has a nice full-size keyboard and impressive touch screen pad. You can also turn off the touch screen pad if you want to use an external mouse. We also need to pay more attention to the Wacom technology, which has drastically boosted the usability of tx2000z's keyboard. This notebook has 3 USB ports, DVD burner, webcam, and two microphones.
Specification:
Processor: Mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-66
Monitor: 12.1". It is small because Pavilion tx2000z is not designed for gamers.
Graphic card: nVidia GeForce 6150.
Weight: 5.1 lbs
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Hard Disk Capacity: 120 Gigabytes
Useful For: normal media users. Obviously, this is one of the newest and promising tablet PC but I doubt HP can sell this one easily.
Price: $1,299. If you wait until May or June, probably HP Pavilion tx2000z will be much cheaper.
I think $1,000 will be enough in the future to buy this laptop but not for now.
