Toshiba Satellite A305-S6845

-June 5, 2008-
Lately, I think Toshiba has better lineup than Sony. Satellite vs. VAIO, which is better? Well, if you prioritize the price and specification, apparently Toshiba has won the competition in your eyes. Toshiba Satellite A305-S6845 describes everything. It comes with cheap price (around $1,300) and it's available with the latest Penryn technology, 3 GB ram, and massive 400 GB of harddisk capacity. Cool.
Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (@2.1 GHz) probably is more than enough to run most latest softwares like Adobe CS3 products. The graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650) looks great if you play strategy games such as World In Conflict. However, Toshiba Satellite A305-S6845 is definitely not a mobile nor an ultraportable laptop. Its battery life is amazing (last for 3 hours and 15 minutes) but it weighes 5.8 lbs.
You can forget the weight if you want to buy it as your desktop replacement. But of course you must reconsider to buy this laptop if you plan to bring it to your office, to your girlfriend's house, etc. How about the design? Not bad. It uses IMD and puts light under the multimedia buttons. Not innovative but still better than most average laptops. About features, Satellite A305-S6845 has 4 USB ports, built-in dual-layer DVD burner, FireWire, 4-in-1 card reader, and all the basic ports (S-Video, VGA-out, etc.)
