Toshiba Satellite U405-S2830

-May 10, 2008-
What's better than a combination between strong performance and beautiful design? These days it's not enough to create a laptop with nice specification. What you need is an attractive design or cheap price. To attract people's attention, Toshiba launched a new and unique Satellite U405-S2830. Using the latest Penryn technology, Satellite U405-S2830 shouldn't be underestimated.
Let's talk about its design first. After Asus, HP, and other manufacturers used In-Mold Decoration, now Toshiba also follow the same pattern. The keyboard looks great, shiny, and comfortable. I also enjoyed the touchpad which is better than previous Toshiba laptops. You can also see the LED lights for the keyboard and other areas. I think this laptop deserves 8 out of 10 stars according to its design.
The performance test is not bad as well. Compared to other high tech laptops such as Apple MacBook Pro with Penryn technology and Asus M50Sa-A1, Toshiba Satellite U405-S2830 is not far behind. In fact, it is better in several occassions like video creation. With Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (Penryn), Satellite U405-S2830 works wonder for media users and small business owners.
About features, this laptop has 3 USB ports, dual-layer DVD burner, one FireWire port, and four-in-one card reader. The USB ports are uniques. You can charge your other electronic devices (handheld) by plugging them into your Satellite U405-S2830 but you still need to use an AC adapter to do so. Too bad this laptop can't be considered as one of the lightest laptops. It weighs 4.8 pounds despite the monitor screen size is not more than 13.5".
